When Dream Cruises team approached us a while ago to work on a special scarf design for them, we quickly jumped on board (pun intended). Who doesn’t like the idea of going on board a stylish cruise ship that offers world-class hospitality, entertainment and leisure facilities. The cruise ship itself, spanning more than 300 meters in length and 18-storey decks, is an architectural and engineering wonder. It is tastefully designed following Asian heritage aesthetic, offering top-notch cruising experience.
The design process, which involved numerous visits on board, was quite an experience for us. After several brainstorming sessions with the team, we came up with a scarf design that was meant to capture the unique cruising experience on board the Dream Cruises. The design was inspired by its iconic row of cabins with curved partition walls and its signature facilities such as the zip-line and rope course, the azul-coloured swimming pool, and its spiralling water slides. We also captured the signature laser show and F&B experiences in the design (can you spot the delightful cocktails and seafood in the corners?). The love story between the astronaut and mermaid, which is the background story of Dream Cruises, was also featured prominently in the design.
