Fashionably Imperfect - Fashion Party - 10 August 2023

Posted by on

We love fashion party! So when Daniel Boey invited us and our tribe to come to his fashion event - Fashionably Imperfect (co-hosted with Eyeyah! and National Design Centre) - to celebrate his decades-long fashion achievements, we were honoured and thrilled! We know we simply have to dress up for this special event, we immediately went on full gear to prepare our outfits. Thankfully we have our intern Nadya Lauricia and former intern TK Young on board, their nimble fingers transformed our printed fabric to gorgeous party outfit, ready to dress our tribe up.

Our friend Mary-Victor, talented makeup artist and body positivity activist, donned a floor length dress featuring our brand new dragon fruit print. She completed the look with real dragon fruits (from Chong Pang market no less!) in a net bag as the ultimate arm candy.

Bryan, our friend who is a professional model, wore a sleeveless kimono and sarong skirt, featuring hornbill prints in green and blue combo colour way. He looked simply stunning in it.

Lizzy, a sustainability activist, wore a gorgeous halter neck dress, that was up-cycled from two large scarves (which were sample pieces). The two scarves were skilfully assembled and hand-stitched, and pulled together with a blue silk tie and tassel, featuring a oh-so-sexy low back detail.

TK wore a fun half jacket featuring the hornbill print. It was simply gorgeous!

Sari made a floor-length dress with plunge neck line, featuring the hornbill print in bright red shade, and completed the look with a matching purse.

Santhi wore our silk kaftan featuring the botanic garden theme, and a wrap sarong skirt featuring the same design.

With striking colours and bold prints, hand down we were the most colourful tribe of the whole lot! We had so much fun at the party, meeting old and new friends.

Thank you Daniel for the invitation! Here is to many more years of fashion achievement! Thank you Mary, Bryan, Lizzy, TK and Nadya for making this event possible!
