Here in Binary Style, our works are often inspired by real people who have crossed our path.
They could be fellow designers, fashion gurus, models, our mother, our lovely customers or our personal friends. These muses come from different parts of the world, various ages, shapes and genders.
Meet Mary-Anne, the muse behind Maryanne dress. This lovely lady came into our life about 12 years ago when we lived in the same housing estate. Gregarious, warm and friendly, we were instantly drawn to her. It is so easy to like her. Hailing from Australia, she has made Singapore home for a decades.
Mary-Anne loves Singapore but she has always found shopping for clothes a little bit challenging. A size 12/14 AU, she finds it difficult to find clothes locally that are curve friendly.
We took up the challenge to create a dress that Mary-Anne would love to wear and that's how the Maryanne dress came into being.

Maryanne dress boasts a V-shaped neckline that is not too low and not too high. We create this dress with slightly raised waistline that can be cinched by tying the attached straps to create a slimming silhouette. This dress comes with drop shoulders that balance out pear-shaped body which is narrower on top and wider at the hip. These kind of shoulders are also perfect for those who prefer to have their upper arms covered but still allow ease of movement.
This dress comes in two sizes, size 1 and size 2.
If you are blessed with curve like Mary-Anne and are highly animated when speaking your mind (which might or might not come with hefty Italian DNA ;)), you probably want to choose size 2 for more freedom of movement.
Size 1 is perfect for those who typically wears size S to M (average local sizing). We promise you that this dress will look gorgeous on you. The adjustable waist will accentuate your shape and the flowy fabric will make you want to twirl.
