Sang Kanchil Mouse Deer
Story Behind The Print
The Lesser Mousedeer or Kanchil is one of the native inhabitants of the Singapore’s forests. They are characterised by their pointy and alert pair of ears and white stripes around their neck. Timid and elusive, they could be seen roaming around during dawn and dusk, only if you are lucky.
As one of the inspirations of the regional fairy tales, they are portrayed as smart and witty, often tricking the more powerful forest creatures such as crocodiles and tigers. This scarf design depicts these adorable creatures in their natural habitat amidst the lust Singaporean forest.
